The instructions: Upon completion of the novel, students will be tasked with creating an argument about the novel. Students will present their research, argument, evidence, and explanation in the form of a 3-4 page paper. Students must cited evidence from 5-10 academic sources, in addition to the novel. Students should incorporate a key literary element in their argument (theme, author’s purpose, figurative language, symbolism, characterization, etc). Finally, students will prepare a 3-5 minute presentation on their paper and findings.
