Professional practice requires ongoing reflection to identify strategies, behaviors, processes, and dispositions that lead to one’s best work. Understanding your own learning and areas for improvement of knowledge and skills will be important to your professional development as a leader and researcher. This assessment will help you reflect critically on:
The writing and revision choices you made in the Literature Review and Ethical Behavior, Diversity, and Civil Discourse assessments.
How your experience in this course relates to your professional orientation and career goals.
How systems thinking informs your emerging problem of practice.
Important note: You must complete Assessments 2 and 3 before you begin this assessment.
Introduction
This assessment focuses on your learning throughout this course. Professional practice requires ongoing reflection to identify the strategies, behaviors, processes, and dispositions that lead to optimal results as well as those that might be improved. We also reflect on our own responses to professional experiences in order to process and strengthen our practice. This assessment offers an additional opportunity: to consider your strengths and areas for growth in your professional writing.

Your introduction needs to identify the focus of your reflection for readers; it should be no longer than one-half page.

Evaluate your personal writing process in this course.
Be sure to include evidence by specifying important revision choices you applied in response to feedback from your instructor, Smarthinking, or your own rethinking of Assessments 2 and 3.
Explain how you might apply lessons learned or strategies used during the writing of the assessments in this course to future writing tasks related to your program and your chosen profession.

For this benchmark assessment, you will take all that you’ve learned as well as additional research to create a final table of developmentally appropriate practices that encompasses each designated age group.
