Detailed instructions are within the document that says “revisions to make”. For this assignment you will only be adding to, reorganizing, or condensing what HAS ALREADY BE DONE. In other words, the paper is already completed, you will just refine it based on the comments given to you in red. An example, document will be posted also “title” example, just in case you need a reference to what is being said in the “revision document”. Must use a peer-reviewed scholarly journal article on your topic, please follow these steps:
Step 1: Find sources related to your topic. For your Desk Study Project, you are only permitted to use peer-reviewed scholarly journal articles (or other kinds of peer-reviewed scholarly works). All works must have been published in 2010 or since that year.
Step 2: Critically read and evaluate sources.
Step 3: Create the proper APA citation for the source/s you select.
Step 4: Below the proper APA citation, write a paragraph that includes brief comments and annotations about the peer-reviewed scholarly journal article on your topic. This paragraph must include:
at least one (1) complete in-text citation (you are required to quote from the source you are using) in formal APA style (which can be featured in any of the sections, listed below, of your entry) and
at least the following:
your evaluation of the work (the value of the evidence, the logic of arguments, etc.)
your description of the arguments or findings in the source (do not simply copy/paste the abstract or introduction of the article)
the qualifications/credibility of the author(s) or publishing source
how this particular work relates to your topic and contributes to existing scholarly literature on your topic (providing this means you are required to read through several works/articles on your topic before you select and use your first source for this first annotated bibliography entry); and
how you plan to use the source to support your argument/thesis (identify specific aspects of the work that you will you most heavily utililuvze in your overall Desk Study Project).
Your paper should be 1000-1200 words and use at least 5 different sources (each chapter in RAWA counts as a source) from the course. You may use additional texts from outside the course. For instance, you may find it useful to investigate issues like occupational segregation, gender pay gap, rates of sexual violence, reproductive rights laws in your state, etc. Papers that support their claims with outside evidence will generally be stronger than papers which make such assertions without evidence. And of course, the course itself has provided ample evidence for many of the claims you can make in the paper – it’s just that we haven’t covered everything, so where you need to support a point with outside evidence it is wise to do so.
